There has been some great feedback on this question. This has given me
a lot of information to mull over!
We get a lot of theory in graduate coursework, but I enjoy learning
how the various historic sites actually apply theory. When you rely on
volunteers for your staff, or the variety of community sizes and
available resources, well, these factors do not come up often when
we're exploring the "visitor experience." It's a nice reality check
for me in a good way.
I know I will get more feedback as some of the professionals get a
chance to sit down an review their e-mail, but I want to express my
appreciation for those of you who are taking the time out of your busy
days do to indulge a graduate student's curiosity!
Thanks,
Garet
