Hi,
I am not sure if this is going to be helpful suggestion. I would
suggest building a website that the museum can be easily updated by
people from the museum responsible for different areas. THis usually
adds flexibility and speed.
Try to find a company that will design a website using content
Management System, that will allow you to update the categories
yourselves. The technology is available!
There is a number of Content Management Systems out there: for example
these are the most common 3 CMS: WordPress - http://wordpress.org , or
Joomla - www.joomla.org , or Drupal http://drupal.org/.
You can follow the provided link to see the examples of website
created using Joomla:
http://community.joomla.org/showcase/sites/arts/museums.html. You also
can see resources to find a company to help you.
The advantage of using a website designed using CMS: you will receive
a site that will allow easy and timely update without any particular
knowledge of webdesign. Such updates to your website can be done using
any browser and having the right password combination.
Let me know if you have any questions.
