Robert:
I saw a wonderful multi-media kiosk on bird calls of N. American Birds at the
Royal Ontario Museum. Perhaps it is commercially available on CD-Rom. Quite
detailed and very intuitive.
Speaking of mmedia, I visited the new AMNH Lila B. Acheson Hall of Mammals and
their Extinct Relatives today. It was marvelous, particularly the numerous
interactive/mmedia kiosks that interspersed the exhibits. In my opinion, it is
one of the most successful integrations of mmedia technology and
collections-oriented tradition I have seen. Any other opinions?
