** Nazi-Plundered Jewish Museum Shows Lost Collection in Berlin
Berlin's first Jewish Museum opened in January 1933, just one week before
the Nazis seized power; Karl Schwarz, its founder, realized immediately that
the museum was doomed and his life was in danger
** Live webcam tracks Broad museum construction
The Broad Foundation has set up a live online camera feed so that people can

** Judge tosses lawsuit over Custer museum raids
A federal judge threw out a lawsuit claiming federal agents illegally raided
Montana's Custer Battlefield Museum during an investigation into the alleged
sale of fraudulent battlefield artifacts and eagle feathers
** Government photos take new form online
Taken between 1935 and 1943 by renowned photographers such as Dorothea Lange
and Walker Evans, the photographs document scenes of American poverty and
were used as propaganda in government pamphlets in support of the New Deal
** Mayor wants to hire interns to keep museums open
Interns are fine if you want to have them be docents or gallery greeters to
learn about how a museum operates,but an intern, even an intern with a
degree in art or a degree in history, is not the same as an experienced
professional director, and that's what both organizations need in order to
operate
** City Hall mum on attendance at museums
City-operated museums in Toronto with low attendance and revenues may be
facing the hatchet, but exactly which ones will close is unknown
