HI Ingrid,
Alaska Statutes 14.57.200 (Acquisition of Title to Loaned Property) and 14.57.210 (Acquisition of Title to Undocumented Property) both went into effect on September 4, 2000 (29 years after the passage of ANCSA). They apply to any items, regardless of whether they are Native or historic, for which the museum wishes to gain title. There are differences in the process, in terms of sending notification to the Regional Corporations (which were formed under ANCSA in 1971), but you still have to document the 7-year period of proven possession and follow the advertising requirements as stated in the statutes.

You can find the full text and enactment date by going to the Alaska State Legislature page (http://www.legis.state.ak.us) and by following these steps:
1) Select Quick Link for “Infobases” at bottom of page; 2) Select “Query” button at left; 3) Select most recent “Alaska Statutes” in Infobase search list (right now it's Alaska Statutes 2009); 4) Enter statute number in query box; 5) Select statute number box to open full text of citation; 6) Scroll down to Article 03, Section 14.57.200.

Good luck!
