My sister bought a book recently, an antique first edition book from the 1930's and her boyfriend absentmindedly used the book as a coaster for his glass. When my sister picked up the glass, a ring had formed and she said it was a lighter color than the rest of the yellow cloth book cover. Does anyone have a remedy short of sending it to a conservator? I don't think it is so valuable as to warrant a huge expense. Thanks.
