Hi, Barbara
I'm forwarding the query to Greg Higby, American Institute of the
History of Pharmacy. "History" <[log in to unmask]>
My knowledge of chemistry is laughably small, but I think
"perchlorate" by itself is meaningless unless you know what other
elements are in the perchlorate molecule.
For the animal feed--try the National Library of Agriculture in Beltsville MD.
All best,
Karen
(very happy to be able to give back a little for all the information
you provide!)
