Dear Cara, You should check out the Queens Museum of Art. This is really their forte.

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Museum Programming and Immigrant Communities
Hello,
I am writing to ask for information about museum programming created for
immigrant communities. Do you know of any museums or cultural/art
organizations which integrate immigrant communities into their education
programs or exhibitions? If you are part of a museum which does this type
of programming, I would love to hear about the planning process,
implementation, and participant feedback. Any information would be great.
Best,
