Our institution--the Castellani Art Museum of Niagara University--has a folk
arts program which has done a Halloween traditions program. The exhibition
included Day of the Dead objects, a "live" coffin installation, and
photodocumentation of neighborhood Halloween displays. The catalog provided
information on the history of these fall/harvest/Halloween customs and their
religious and "pagan" roots. If you're interested contact Kate Koperski, Folk
Arts Curator, Castellani Art Museum, 716-286-8293.
