The Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture has some slave artifacts (table, clothes, restraints) in their collection. The actual museum building will not be up on the National Mall until 2015 so you have a little while for interpretation. However, feel free to contact the staff there for more information on their collection. Michele Gates Moresi, Curator of Collections, or Drew Talley, Registrar, can help you.
