Marilynn,
I usually have at least two interns working with me at one time and it
does not bother me when they are listening to their ipod while working
on cataloging but if I can hear it then it is to loud and I will ask
them to turn it down. I do not however like it when they have any
electronic device with them when they are working with the public.
They may use their phones when away from the public and only then on
their lunch break. I state this in my intern handbook that they
receive when the are accepted for the internship. I hope this helps.
