It is true, swords should not be stored or displayed in the scabbard. It
tends to rust the blades and the blades get stuck in the scabbard and it
is hard to get them apart.

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Sword display/storage
Hi,
I am wondering what the best way to store and display a sword is. A
visitor came into our museum over the weekend and said that having the
swords in the scabords was not good. If this is the case, why?
Thanks.
