There are several sessions planned for AAM's 1995 program related=
to public
access/bulletin boards/ and the electronic superhighway. The process=
for
proposing/planning programs for AAM starts with submitting a preliminary
proposal to one of the standing committees. A chair person prepares=
the
proposal and puts together a panel of speakers on the topic- generally=
from
different disciplines, types of museums or geographic areas. =20
I am program chair for the Media and Technology committee and pleased=
to
say we have a number of proposals related to the "public access"=
topic
being discussed. I will submit these proposals to the rest of the=
AAM
reveiewers. Proposals are being sent on Monday so it is probably=
too late
to submit any more proposals unless you are willing to have it to=
me by
Monday a.m. However, there are some panels still in need of one=
or two
more participants so if you are interested and feel you have experiences=
to
share, please contact me and I can try to connect you with one of=
the=20
panel chairs. =20
Once proposals make it through the preliminary review, a final and=
more
detailed proposal is submitted so there is still time to add panelists=
or
provide suggestions for topics to be included. =20
