Apologies for cross-postings.
I'm looking for national/international examples of education programs in museums that fill a need in the community and reach out to underserved audiences for a book chapter I am writing.
For example, at The NJ Historical Society we developed a program for teen parents that filled the unmet need of a "cultural component" for the population, teaching them how to take toddlers and young children to a museum.
Another example is the Clark Art Institute in Massachusetts that offers a program for juvenile offenders that offers an "educational enhancement model" for the young offenders.
Please email me off list at [log in to unmask] if you know of any programs/contact people for these programs.
Thank you! - Claudia Ocello
