ECOS seeks a qualified museum exhibit designer with 4 8 years of
relevant professional
experience. ECOS Communications is a small, full-service design firm
based in Boulder,
Colorado that specializes in developing interpretive exhibits for
natural and cultural
history venues.
Position is benefit and profit-sharing eligible and is available
immediately.
Responsibilities include:
All phases of CAD and hand drawing for a variety of 3D and 2D
design applications
using industry standards
Develop creative and innovative design approaches to match a
variety of client needs
Preference given to Vectorworks CAD application, but other
expertise will be considered
Manage complex projects over long durations
Present concepts to clients in professional manner
Research materials and exhibit systems
Project management
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in relevant design discipline
CAD and hand-drawing skills
4 8 years experience in exhibition design
Ability to verbally and visually communicate
Manage fabricators and shop drawing, fabricator, installation phases
Meet fast-paced deadlines and account for quality of work
Excellent familiarity with fabrication techniques, materials and
conventions
Willing to travel
Position is full-time and in house.
