+++ CURATOR OF EUROPEAN GLASS +++
For our renowned museum client, we are seeking a Curator of
European Glass.
The successful applicant will review and recommend acquisitions
of European glass and related materials (such as books, photographs
and periodicals pertaining to European glass); catalog all such
acquisitions; Oversee all display areas related to European glass,
including wall text and labeling; develop and mount special exhibitions
of European glass; assist in periodic surveys and inventories;
present a lecture at the muse's annual seminar and speak at
other museums and conferences; answer all collection-related
inquiries; pursue original research in the field of European glass;
oversee and make recommendations concerning both incoming
and outgoing loans.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of European glass,
excellent research and writing skills, the ability to cultivate sources
for future acquisitions and related funding and outstanding
communication and interpersonal skills. MA in art history or
related field required; some curatorial experience and reading
ability with French and German strongly preferred.
