We are planning to adopt the NPS software and would also be curious
about other institutions' experiences. David Guiney, of the NPS, who
developed it, came to our museum last week and gave us a demo on it. It
looks very useable and even better, adaptable.

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Exhibit Planning software
We are looking into getting software to help with exhibit planning at
our
institution. I came across a free program from the National Park
Service
(http://www.nps.gov/hfc/products/imi/imi-ex-plan-16-6.htm) and was just
wondering if anyone had any experience with this product. We don't
currently have FileMaker Pro, which the program needs to run, and before
we
purchase it I thought I would ask how useful the NPS product is.
Also if anyone out there knows other good exhibit planning software
please
pass that along.
