And 3 other great, but little-known reasons for making your prize
trip to Philadelphia:
1. The American Swedish Historical Museum--fascinating collection
(who knew that Sweden tried to start a colony here, before Penn!) .
And it's an easy drive from the airport, with FREE parking. You can
leave the rental car here, take the subway to most of the other
Philadelphia places. http://www.americanswedish.org/
2. Bartrams Garden -- an oasis of flowers, history, unique colonial
architecture (a short detour on the way from the Swedish Museum to
the airport) www.bartramsgarden.org/
3. The Wagner Free Institute of Science--a Victorian natural history
museum preserved intact (they've barely graduated to light bulbs!)
