Hello museum colleagues,
It's been a long journey, but today we finally open the doors to the public
here at The Museum at Bethel Woods. You may have seen some of the media
coverage -- CBS Sunday Morning, New York Times, Time, Good Morning America
-- and know that we are located at the site of the historic Woodstock
festival. I'm proud to say that the museum is much more than a memorial to
three days of peace and music -- we are a history museum about the entire
decade of the 1960s and the legacy of the '60s and Woodstock that we are
still living with today. I hope that all of you can come visit us, perhaps
as a side trip on your way to or from AASLH in Rochester this fall.
Peace,
Wade
