Hello all,
We have a small collection of Clewell pottery, made by artist Charles Walter Clewell between about 1900 and 1948. He was from Canton, OH, and I am working on a program for a local antiques group next week.
He worked in pottery coated in a thin layer of bronze, which he altered using a chemical formula only he knew. The patina changed to his signature blue-green. But he also made plain bronze pieces. We have mostly vases, but he did make candlesticks, ashtrays, and other items.
You can see a picture of some of our pieces here, if that would help:

I was just wondering who else might have some of his work. I'd like to put together a list of museums that have a piece in their collections.
Thanks so much!
