Hi!
I attended the annual Smithsonian Affiliates Conference a few weeks ago, and
one of the sessions I went to was called "Where's My Stoy? Incorporating
Multiple Perspectives in Interpretation". Here's who presented:
Linda Coombs, Wampanoag Indigenous Program - Plimoth Plantation (discussed
how they made the story of the site more inclusive of Wampanoag history)
John Homiak, National Museum of Natural History (curator of Discovering
Rastafari!)
Katherine Ott, National Museum of American History (discussed exhibiting the
history of people with disabilities)
I'd be happy to share my notes and thoughts with you. You may also be able
to contact the presenters. It was a really informative session.
Good luck!
