I have a colleague working for a small museum who has been asked to develop
a new and significant permanent exhibit. He has very limited experience
working with exhibits on this scale, and is hoping for a bit of insight into how
the process normally flows. A few specific questions include: What does a
typical RFP look like? At what point do you go out and search for exhibit
design firms? Do you normally expect to pay a fee for proposals and bids? Any
and all advice is welcome. Thank you
