Curatorial Research Associate

The Museum of Arts & Design, New York, New York, seeks a candidate to
assist in their upcoming project to make their collections available in an online
database. This is a fulltime, temporary position, through August 2008. Duties
will include researching and writing texts about objects and artists in the
collection for publication in our online database.
Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Art History, History of Decorative Arts, or
related field; strong computer skills; ability to work independently; strong and
demonstrable research and writing skills; familiarity with contemporary craft,
design, and decorative arts; familiarity with collections management
databases (direct experience with The Museum System a plus), as well as
Microsoft Access; meticulous attention to detail; commitment to meeting
deadlines
