Or invite some of the concert goers. I'm sure they'd
come back a bit better behaved this time around.
One of the regrets of my youth -- that I didn't get to
Woodstock. A group of friends from the office in NYC
where I had a summer job wanted to go but none of them
(being city kids) had driver's licenses.
I did -- it was a necessity growing up in the 'burbs,
where the moms appreciated it when the oldest child
could help handle some of the schlepping about.
Alas, my mother didn't consider driving 3 friends to
upstate NY over a weekend within the parameters of
helpful schlepping. The car and I spent what was
arguably one of the most exciting weekends of the
decade at the Jersey shore.
