The discussion about archiving panoramic photos reminded me that I have had
a panoramic photo in my personal collection and for which I have tried to
find a suitable home, with little success to date. Perhaps someone on this
list can help?
The ca. 18" x 10" photo is labeled:
"New York League of American Pen Women; Charter Day Dinner; Hotel McAlpin;
January 24, 1923"
and
"Century; 105 W 47th; 11"
The sepia photo is damaged on the left edge and cracked along the right
edge. The photo was taken in a ballroom, at the Hotel McAlpin we assume, and
most of the women are in typical flapper dress. Five women are prominently
seated in the front middle of the photo and I am sure some of them are
important female writers, but I don't have any identifying information about
anyone in the photo. I can scan it and e-mail a picture of it, if anyone
might consider taking it.
