You may wish to check out Blum Blumotion runners, they contain a piston that
slows a drawer to a smooth stop. Though typically used in residential
applications, I find the system stands up well in commercial applications.

I don't know if you would be able to retrofit into your current cabinetry,
but something to consider when developing specifications for future
fabrications.
