Split Rock Studios is looking for an artifact mounter. Must have
demonstrated experience creating museum-quality archival mounts and
working with a wide variety of objects.
Projects range from arranging and mounting objects in small vitrines
in our shop, to major installations at project sites.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Knowledge of, and experience with, proper materials and methods for
creating museum-quality archival mounts.
• Technical skills required to prepare mounts and safely handle
valuable objects.
• Good eye for composition and 3D display. Ability to finalize
layouts based on designer’s direction and your skills.
• Ability to travel as necessary.
• Ability to work from design drawings and verbal direction from
exhibit and graphic designers.
• Capable of handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
Skills in other fabrication areas, including woodworking, artistic
fabrication, etc. a plus.
