Balboa Art Conservation Center (BACC) Subsidized Survey Program
Through a generous grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities,
BACC's Western Region Field Service Office is able to offer an on-site
collections preservation survey to a select number of institutions within
the western region at a subsidized cost. Institutions eligible for the
subsidized surveys must be located in California, Washington, Oregon or
Arizona.
The survey can consist of a general needs assessment or may be adapted to
address the particular needs of an institution. The goal of the
accompanying survey report is to offer practical recommendations that can be
used as the basis for development and implementation of a long-range
preservation plan for collections care. The cost for participating
institutions will be a $750 flat rate fee.
To discuss possible survey projects, and for information on applying for one
of the available subsidized surveys, please contact BACC's Western Region
Field Service Office at [log in to unmask], or call Josephine Ihrke, Field
Service Project Manager, at 619-236-9702.
