The UV output of the compact bulbs is a concern to me because there aren't
sleeves for the bulbs on the market, yet. The regular, tube flourescents have
sleeves. I have decided not put the CFL bulbs in our collections/artifact area
but they are in other parts of our structure. The lighting appears "brighter" to
the eye, they cost more than regular lightbulbs initially but they cost less in
energy over time. We light a Battleship so reducing energy costs is important
to us!
