We used the Wasco product with excellent results at one of our sites, the
Piqua Historical Area. The Wasco catalogue shows quarts, but we were able
to get 5-gallon cans.
We made a large full-scale diorama that included a stream. We suspended
tinted plexiglas a few inches above the stream bed and put the artificial water
on top of the plex, disguising the plex seams with river rocks, drift wood or
white water. It is very realistic. The plex gave a nice depth to the stream. It
was fun to devise how to prop the plex up with out showing an obvious
structure, and sculpting the artificial water is very cool.
It is stinky for a couple of weeks while it cures. We were fortunate that the
site's visitors center was closed for exhibit renovations at the time, so there
weren't people lingering around breathing the fumes.
