Folks:
The Museum of Underwater Archaeology is pleased to announce the commencement of East Carolina University’s (ECU) online summer field school journal. Four graduate students will post two or three times each week over the next month. They will work in three different areas of eastern North Carolina. Their activities will include using a goniometer to record the hull curvature from the vessel ECU described in its 2006 Fall field school journal in Washington Park. They will examine and record a new vessel in North Creek and will conduct a remote sensing survey near New Bern. The journal promises to cover many aspects of underwater archaeological research.
