International Arts & Artists, a Washington, DC based visual arts service
organization, is looking for an entry- to mid-level Development Associate.
He/she will develop and maintain relationships with foundations and
corporations to gain support for IA&A. He/she will prepare proposals for
foundations and corporate prospects for operating support as well as
exhibition projects and an on-site community gallery, Hillyer Art Space.
He/she also helps identify and cultivate prospective corporate donors and
foundations.
Candidate should have strong initiative, be able to work independently, and
manage multiple projects under deadline pressures. A strong interest or
background in the arts is desirable but not required. Excellent written and
verbal communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills required.
Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Salary is based
upon experience ($26-45K).
