** Discovering Thailand's Dinosaurs
An animated film relates the discovery of Phuwiangosaurus sirindhornae, a
130-million-year-old giant plant-eater whose fossilised remains were found
in near perfect condition

("Lizard from Hell")
** Tasmania too old for dinosaurs
Dr Steve Salisbury is a palaeontologist at the University of Queensland and
says that although dinosaur fossils have not been found in Tasmania it is
believed that dinosaurs did once roam around the state
** Not Dinos But - Fossils of ancient tank-like mammal found in Andes
The creature, Parapropalaehoplophorus septentrionalis, was a primitive
relative of a line of heavily armoured mammals that culminated in the
massive, impregnable Gyptodon, a two-ton, 10-foot long beast covered in
armoured plates and a spiky tail

** Scientists Discover New Breed of Dinosaur
Appropriately named Nigersaurus Taqueti, and whose earth-roaming was dated
to have been 110 million years ago, the 30-foot long species was also said
to have had no fewer than 500 teeth, and a curiously wide mouth

After two centuries of paleontological harvest, the evidence seems stranger
than any fable and continues to get stranger. . . . Contemplating the
bizarre specimens recently come to light, one cannot but wonder what on

The Barosaurus skeleton, prize of the museum's dinosaur collection,
stretches the length of the Dinosaur Galleries' north wall, and will serve
as the centrepiece for the new permanent exhibit. A place the dinos can

** Mysterious Antarctic Dinosaur Finally Identified, Named
The hefty, long-necked dinosaur that lumbered across the Antarctic before
meeting its demise 190 million years ago has been identified and named, more
than a decade after intrepid palaeontologists sawed and chiselled the
remains of the primitive plant-eater from its icy grave
** Flesh-eating dinosaur identified
The results have only now been published and reveal the Carcharodontosaurus
iguidensis to be one of the largest carnivorous dinosaurs ever to have
walked the Earth

Scientists in South America say they've found the remains of one of the
biggest dinosaurs ever
