Native American Indian subsistence annual cycle chart:
Does anyone know if there is a subsistence annual cycle chart for the
Idaho/Oregon/Nevada area, in respect to specific times Native American
Indians would hunt, gather, fish, etc. during Winter * Spring - Summer *
and Fall? For example, fishing might be from May to September with 3
runs of 10 days each.
I am sure each chart would different depending on the resources and
ecological zones throughout North America. Some of the charts I have
seen (but lost my source), even have the season when tribes/groups met
for trade, preparation, social gatherings, and moving from summer to
winter camp/locations.
Any help would be appreciated.
