Have you registered the theft items with the FBI's Art Theft database?
Here is their URL:
http://www.fbi.gov/hq/cid/arttheft/arttheft.htm
It might be esepcially useful if there was a blurb in the local paper
about these being on the FBI list. It might help make the items
mysteriously reappear.
