Dear Colleagues:
Does anyone know of any effective and creative exhibits on archaeology--past
or present--that help visitors grasp archaeological concepts? That might
also include sections within larger exhibits and activities in hands-on
galleries, discovery rooms, etc.
I'm working with an organization in the mid-Atlantic region (USA), made up
largely of archaeologists, to develop long term exhibits in their visitor
center. We'd like very much to move beyond the text panel & artifact case
approach. We've articulated a number of core concepts and methods and
strategies to engage visitors.
Your recommendations will be very much appreciated.
Thanks,
Dean
