The early registration deadline for the 2006 Association fo Midwest Museums 
(AMM) Conference, Building Bridges, is scheduled for July 15, 2006.  AMM is 
collaborating with both the Illinois Association of Museums and the Iowa 
Museum Association on the conference, which is scheduled for September 26-
29 in the Quad Cities, Illinois and Iowa.  The conference will kick off 
with a gala reception at the beautiful new Figge Art Museum and will 
feature Dr. John Hope Franklin (author of the landmark book, From Slavery 
to Freedom) as the keynote speaker.  Registration to the conference 
includes entrance to all evening receptions and tours at various museums in
