The Association of Midwest Museums (AMM) is accepting nominations for the
2006 Distinguished Service Award and Promising Leadership Award. Both
categories recognize the outstanding achievements and service of
individuals whose work or volunteer contributions have enhanced museums or
museum associations and who have consistently maintained high standards of
performance in the museum profession.
AMM’s Distinguished Service Award is given annually to a single
individual. The award recognizes long-term career service to one or more
museums and museum associations. The nominee should also have a record of
service to AMM, either as a board member, conference organizer, or other
volunteer.
The Promising Leadership Award is given to individuals who have worked or
volunteered for a museum or museum association for 10 years or less and
provided exceptional service or shown outstanding commitment to the museum
field. Prior service to AMM is not a requirement.
To nominate yourself or someone else, send this form and a letter detailing
the nominee’s history of service and highlighting his/her career
achievements to: AMM Awards Committee, P.O. Box 11940, St. Louis, MO
63112. The deadline for nominations is June 30, 2006. For more
