Blackbaud's RE is an excellent powerful program, but amounts to overkill for many smaller and mid-sized organizations which will use only 30% of RE's features. If what you really need is a bicycle, why get an SUV? I can't speak to whether your museum would be better served by PP4 than by converting to RE, but I did want to take advantage of this topic to pass along a list of free/less expensive packages that I verified as of May 2006 : Examples of lower-cost systems Donation Solutions http://www.donationsolution.com/DS/index.aspx Donor Access http://www.donoraccess.com/ Donor Perfect Online http://www.donorperfect.com/fundraisingsoftware/solutions.asp Easy Gift http://www.summit-ware.com/ Easy Ware http://www.easy-ware.com/ eTapestry (for smaller # of records) http://www.etapestry.com/ Exceed!
