Marielle:
I used the Minnesota Historical Society's Guidelines and adapted them to
our needs. Their safe products list is on page 26 of this handbook. I
seem to have misplaced mine, which is not surprising since I am
currently recovering from a brain injury. I allow maintenance to use a
mild solution of Muphy's Oil Soap on the wood floors once a month during
the tourist season, taking care not to splash walls. They vacuum rather
than sweep. They also dust with electro-static dust cloths without any
chemical enhancements in public areas. I have provided the link to the
Minnesota Historical Society's PDF document.

Thank you Becky,
Could you share your list of approved supplies? Currently I am the only
employee and for the new museum there is only one other person in the
plans...I don't know if I alone could clean a 1600 square foot building
plus
be the registrar. I sure will not let the cleaners into my work space or
storage.
