These are part of a large collection of furniture pieces and manufacturing
equipment. The objects have been accessioned as part of a permanent
collection that documents the furniture-manufacturing process. However, we
use PastPerfect and we have been trying to determine the most appropriate
terms/fields for the following items. If we create a new object name and
category(which may be our only option), we want to select a choice that will
be the most logical for future searches. The items we're having trouble with
are:
-cabinet faces (drawer fronts and cabinet doors)
-decorative carvings: these are used for decorative embellishments, die-
cut/laser-cut, etc. We could categorize these as Communication Artifact/Art,
but we don't want to be misleading
-Drawer pulls/knobs
Thanks in advance for any advice and recommendations.
