Dear Colleagues,
On March 21, 2007 the final rule for future applicability of NAGPRA as it
applies to museums and Federal agencies was published in the Federal
Register/ Vol. 72, No. 54. This rule is effective April 20, 2007. It
applies to museums and Federal agencies under the following circumstances:
a) Acquire new holdings or collections or discover previously unreported
collections
b) New Indian tribe is federally recognized
c) Museum for the first time receives Federal funds
