Keri, I think you're looking for Rosenweig and Thelen's book The
Presence of the Past. Great book.

Subject: Looking for a reference for a study
Hello all,
Back in the late 1990's (or perhaps 2000/2001) the results of a study
about how Americans view museums as "more truthful" or "less biased"
than most other information media (TV, newspapers, film, etc) were
published. Does anyone have a reference for where I can find these
results?
Thanks,
Keni Sturgeon
