Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Museum Studies or closely related field and three =
years of artifact conservation, preservation and/or museum programming =
experience.
Preferences:
Master's Degree in Museum Studies or related discipline.
Knowledge of research and conservation principles, protocols, techniques =
and standards of field. Knowledge of Past Perfect Software
Duties Include:
Directing and participating in daily collection management activities.=
Implementing methods for preservation and conservation of items including=
artifacts, art, photographs and documentary records. Supervising database=
development of respective collections.
Planning and facilitating exhibitions, programs, classes and publications=
based on respective collections.
Maintaining relationships with federal, regional, state and other externa=
l
agencies.
Negotiating repository agreements and deeds of gift. Evaluating donations=
and acquisitions, administering loan agreements and ensuring adherence to=
established policies.
Performing other related duties as assigned.
