Hello fellow listers!
We recently acquired a fur coat for our permanent collection. According to the
donor, he stored it "in his garage for years." I know the coat should be frozen
to kill any unseen critters, but how should I care for the coat after the freeze
process? The fur seems quite dry and course. Is it safe to take to a local
furrier for treatment, or should we send to a conservator? Any advice you can
give would be most helpful.
Thanks in advance!
Valerie
