There are a couple of ways to handle this issue.
One would be to get your mail in digest form, so you would get one email
with all the museum-l messages for that day.
Another option, the one I use, is to set up your subscription to museum-l
so that the list name shows up in the subject line of each message coming
from museum-l. I then wrote an email sorting rule so that anything with
museum-l in the subject line is automatically sent to a separate folder and
does not clutter up my inbox.
You should be able to manage your list subscription online. Go to
http://home.ease.lsoft.com/archives/museum-l.html and then click on "Join
or leave the list (or change settings)".
If you want to change your settings so that the list name shows up in the
subject line of each email, that is called "LISTSERV-style, with list name
in subject".
If you want, you can also just send an email message to
[log in to unmask] and in the body of the message put *only*
the line:
set museum-l subjecthdr
This is another way to change your settings so that the list name shows up
in the subject line of each email.
