Sherry, I am a big fan of printing out the number on a printer in a tiny
font on thin tissue paper, then adhering this tiny label between
isolating layer/top coat of B-72. Eliminates the ink issues and
problems with legibility, too. Let me know if you want more details.

Subject: Artifact numbering
Dear list,
I am new to the listserv and this is my third attempt to post a message.
=
So maybe the third time is a charm.
My question concerns artifact numbering. I will be training our site
museum staff next week and would like to have something to offer them
besides a white base coat and a black archival pen. I have searched the
=
internet extensively for a good white archival pen to use on a clear
basecoat, but have been unhappy with my findings. The Zig Opaque Writer
=
writes too thick and runs together. The Galaxy Marker goes on invisible
=
and only turns white as it dries, so if you make a mistake you don't
know=
it until the number is dry. I've revisited the old metal pen nib, white
=
paint scenario and am reminded of why we gave it up when Micron came
along. Has anyone out there found a better solution? If so, any help =
would be greatly appreciated.
