For Christie's, our renowned auction house client, we are seeking a
Specialist in Postwar and Contemporary Art to work for the Los Angeles
office. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating
business and long-term client development; identifying property and
organizing sales; working with estates and appraisals; writing catalogue
essays; and coordinating all aspects of sale set-up and departmental
sessions to determine value, condition and marketability of works of art
submitted. The ideal applicant will possess a minimum of five years
paid work experience in an auction house, gallery or other arts
business, demonstrated ability in appraising property and outstanding
relationships with international collectors and museums. Excellent
communications and interpersonal skills and the ability to organize
multiple projects are essential. BA in Art History or Decorative Arts
required; MA preferred. Generous salary and excellent benefits. Please
