The Iris & B. Gerald Cantor Foundation organizes and circulates
traveling exhibitions of Rodin sculpture. To date these exhibitions
have been seen at more than 150 venues in the United States, Canada,
England, Japan, Venezuela, Israel, Australia and Singapore.
The Cantor Foundation has openings in 2007, 2008, and 2009
for its traveling retrospective exhibition “Rodin: A
Magnificent Obsession, Sculpture from the Iris & B. Gerald Cantor
Foundation.” The exhibition consists of approximately 60 works in
bronze that span the career of Auguste Rodin. The Foundation makes
available label text and didactics, brochures, teacher's guides, family
guides, teen guides, and docent training materials to complement the
exhibition.
There is no curatorial fee. Host museums are responsible for the costs
of insurance and incoming shipping from the previous venue, as well as
all typical installation and other local expenses. The show includes
no exhibition furniture. The Foundation recommends approximately 4500-
5500 square feet of gallery space for this show.
