Dear Timothy,
why not make it dependent from the kind of fish - I mean, piranhas,
electric eels or any kind of poisoneous fish should be kept in public
aquariums (most condomineons do not allow it either). Tell us more about
it - I never thought it would be a topic.
Best regards
Christian

Does anyone out there have policies regarding the keeping of fish in
private offices in a museum building? We don't allow plants or flowers
due to their nature of attracting insects, but I'm not aware of such
caveats against keeping fish. The fish would be kept outside of the
strict environmental envelope where our galleries, storage and
collections work areas are, so I don't think humidity would be an
issue--any one have thoughts on whether to allow or disallow the
keeping
of fish by museum staff?
